It doesn't recognize the recitation

Keep your iPhone where it can clearly hear the imam: on the prayer rug in front of you, or in a shirt pocket. The hearing meter next to the status line shows how well it hears. Recognition usually locks on within a few words. Adding Arabic under Settings › General › Keyboard › Dictation Languages lets your iPhone recognize Arabic on the device, which is faster and works offline.

The Apple Watch doesn't update

Your iPhone does the listening, so start Nussakh on your iPhone first, then open it on the Watch. If the Watch says "Your iPhone stopped listening", start again on the iPhone.

The Watch screen turns off

Apple doesn't let apps keep the Watch screen on with your wrist down. Raise your wrist or tap the screen to see the current ayah. On the Watch, Settings › Display & Brightness › Wake Duration › Wake for 70 Seconds keeps it on longer. Watches with an Always-On display keep showing Nussakh, dimmed.

Siri starts during prayer

On the Watch, turn off Settings › Siri › Raise to Speak.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing users

Every word shows as it is recited, and in Watch settings you can choose a light or strong wrist tap for each new ayah.
